Fitzgerald Plant Services, a leading provider of plant machinery repair and maintenance across the UK, is looking for a skilled and experienced Plant Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of heavy plant machinery and equipment.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Proven experience as a Plant Technician or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Exceptional problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Valid driver's license
- PTS preferred but not essential
What will your role look like?
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of plant machinery
- Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs on equipment
- Replace and fit components as required, ensuring optimal performance
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including completing maintenance logs
- Comply with safety and health regulations, promoting safe working practices
- Collaborate with team members and provide support when needed to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
