About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to provide targeted intervention support to KS1 and KS2 pupils in Maths, English, Reading, and LiteracyYou will work closely with school staff to identify children requiring additional support, plan and deliver engaging intervention sessions, and track progress to ensure positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, targeted intervention sessions to small groups and individual pupils.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to identify learning gaps and develop effective intervention strategies.
- Create and implement engaging and differentiated learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Utilise assessment data to inform planning and ensure effective intervention.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages pupil confidence and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of intervention programs.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with primary school children.
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
- Excellent understanding of effective intervention strategies.
- Ability to differentiate learning to meet individual needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- A passion for making a positive impact on children's lives.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience working with pupils with SEN.
- Experience in delivering specific intervention programs (e.g., phonics, maths mastery).
- Experience in using assessment data to track progress.
