About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a Good-rated Ofsted primary school in DE21. This part-time role involves teaching Year 2 for two days per week and providing PPA cover for other classes on the remaining days. This position is well-suited for ECTs and those with HLTA experience looking to develop their teaching career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment to support Year 2 students' learning and development
  • Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
  • Deliver high-quality PPA cover across various classes, adapting lessons to meet diverse student needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents to support student success
  • Uphold the school's policies, promoting a respectful, positive environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Experience in primary teaching (ECTs are welcome to apply)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
