About us:You will be working with Hays Education, who are one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Derbyshire & surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting experienced behaviour mentors / teaching assistants who are able to assist in the educational environment, encouraging both academic and educational growth in the students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in managing student behaviour and implementing behaviour intervention plans.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional support.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with behavioural needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or equivalent.
