Job Title: CMM Inspector/Quality Engineer

Location: Derby

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Full time / Permanent / Double days

Early Shift 6am-2pm Mon to Thur 6am 12pm Friday (15 Min Break 9:45am-10:00am)

Late Shift 2pm-Midnight Mon-Wed, Thur 2pm-10.20pm (20 Min break 7pm-7:20pm)

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be part of the quality/inspection team who are responsible for inspecting all inter process and completed manufactured components that are produced. Using sound logic and inspection capability to report findings against department and company KPI's.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Component and product conformity against design

  • Correct calibration of equipment being used

  • Correct reporting of KPI's

  • Daily Non-conformance collection & reporting

  • Quality reporting and investigation when required

  • Cleanliness and good housekeeping

  • Issuing customer rejection notes when required

  • Issuing Corrective Action Reports when needed

  • Output & productivity through inspection

  • Reducing non-conformance

  • Reducing un-declared non-conformance

  • Reducing the value and qty of re-work and salvaged parts

  • Proactive attitude and participation in any lean activity

  • Reduce time wasted waiting for first off's

The Candidate

  • Experience with using Calypso

  • Experience In a Quality Engineer role / similar

  • Pro-active "can do" approach to everything

  • Good team ethic at all times

  • Reliable with good timekeeping

  • Flexible to perform extra hours (overtime) if required
