They are looking for an experienced quality inspector to join their team, based in Derby. The ideal candidate will have previous experience inspecting a range of components with a number of dimensional measurement tools (gauges, micrometres, verniers etc). Experience operating CMM machines would be perfect but isn’t essential and will be trained.Quality InspectorJob Description
  • Inspecting a range of machined and fabricated components, using dimensional measurement tools such as verniers/calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.
  • To carry out 1st off Inspection / Receipt Inspection / Inspection and Calibration activities as required to support operations.
  • Running CMM programmes; analysing and recording results and making appropriate quality decisions.
  • To support the internal non-conformance process; raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured.
Quality InspectorEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Well-versed inspecting a range of high precision components/parts, to tight tolerances
  • Experience working within a highly regulated environment/industry (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, oil & gas, rail for example)
  • Confident using dimensional measurement tools such as verniers/calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.
  • Positive attitude, with an open mind to learning new skills
Quality InspectorDesirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Experience operating or programming CMM Machines
  • Knowledge/experience compiling FAIRS
  • Aerospace industry knowledge/experience
