Job Opportunity: Overhead Crane Engineer
Location: Swadlincote/Derby (3-4 days) + North England Travel (1 day per week)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Our client, a well-established and family-run business, is seeking a skilled and motivated Overhead Crane Engineer to join their growing team. This exciting role offers the perfect balance between working locally in Swadlincote and Derby for most of the week and traveling one day a week to support customers across the North of England, including areas such as Manchester and Sheffield.

Role Overview:

  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs of overhead cranes in accordance with LOLER regulations and industry standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
  • Provide expert technical support and advice to customers, ensuring minimal downtime for their equipment.
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation for all work undertaken.
  • Flexibility to travel regionally, with most work focused locally.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of overhead cranes or similar industrial equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of LOLER regulations and compliance requirements.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail.
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel when needed.
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers and the internal team effectively.
