Production Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Motivated, Production Team Leader to join a large manufacturing company located in Derby. This position will be supporting the Production Manager with all aspects of daily manufacturing and continuous improvement activities. To apply for this position, you will need to possess some knowledge or experience within one of the following sectors: manufacturing, FMCG or COMAH regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be manging a team of 30+ employees with full accountability of daily performance including KPI deliverables.
• You will be responsible for making key production decisions in the absence of the Production manager.
• You will have responsibility of all areas of the production facility and give clear and consistent information to other team members.
• You will monitor and support new team members and help to identify training and development.
• Support the production team in completing production tasks and deliver shift handover process including all shift reporting documentation.
• Work closely with the Quality team to manage any product defects including implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor and manage absence and lateness levels, disciplinary matters, holiday allocation and sickness cover.

Key Requirements

To apply for Production Team Leader position in Derby you will ideally have 5+ years Team Leader or Supervisory experience with the ability to drive manufacturing improvements,

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
