Job Description:
W Talent are looking for an experienced Project Manager (PMO) to join a leading manufacturing business based in Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within the organisation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of manufacturing projects.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with operational goals and facilitate smooth execution.
- Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying and addressing issues or risks as they arise.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, highlighting key status updates and project health.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance project effectiveness.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and to capture lessons learned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not essential
- A Project Management certification is required
- Proven experience in project management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across various business functions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, etc.) is an advantage.
