Senior Design Manager (Facade/Rainscreen Cladding) | Pride Park, Derby | Up to £65,000 + car/allowance + bonus*

The Opportunity:

Ford and Stanley Talent Services Group are proud to be partnered with a nationwide construction contractor, who due to their innovative patented product, are gaining traction in the market and as such, are looking for an experienced Design Manager to oversee the internal design management process.

Working in collaboration with the senior leadership team, we are looking for a knowledgeable and hardworking Design Manager with an extensive design management background and proven experience in running design from implementation through to delivery.

This position would be well suited to a strong, confident Design Manager who is looking for a progressive business to continue their development and climb the internal ranks. As an SME-sized business, they offer tailored progression and development opportunities including funding and support through further education and industry training courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process internally.
  • Attending site visits & meet with clients.
  • Control of a design from conception, monitoring the design, internal design meetings, client design meetings and finally to production.
  • Complete the designs on some occasions.
  • Mid construction checks, on site, ensuring that the project meets the design.

Candidate Essentials

  • Extensive design management experience. (Essential)
  • Structural construction experience, ideally facades or rainscreen cladding (Essential)
  • Full UK drivers’ licence (Essential)
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD (Desirable)
