SF Recruitment is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join a high-growth business based in Derby. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic procurement team within an organisation that truly values its employees. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will own the buying process for your category of product, ultimately responsible for the entire procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for Procurement products and services to support the sales plans.
- To negotiate deals with suppliers and put in place long terms agreements or other appropriate contractual terms.
- Research and source products from a global supply-base often with short notice.
- Maintain accurate Procurement master data.
- Interface with Sales, Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality functions to ensure that the Procurement process runs smoothly.
- Attend customer meetings where components are customer supplied
- Manage, monitor and report supplier performance.
- Ensure all suppliers adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining adequate stock levels
- Contributing to and maintaining BOM's


Essential Qualifications and Skills:

- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or buying roles
- Proficiency in SAP or a comparable ERP system.
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage difficult situations and work efficiently under pressure.
