Description
- Procure goods and materials necessary to meet production requirements.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Coordinate with production and sales to anticipate demand.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities and achievements.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry
- Ideally CIPS qualified
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software.
