This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and skilled Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to join an experienced team and contribute to the successful delivery of top-tier office fit-outs.

Job Overview:

The Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) will manage and deliver various office fit-out projects (CAT A + B works) for a prestigious client base. The role involves liaising with clients, design teams, and estimating teams to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the office fit-out sector, be able to consult with clients, and work effectively within a dynamic and experienced QS team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full cost management process for multiple office fit-out projects (CAT A and B works), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Liaise with clients, design teams, and estimating teams to understand project requirements, provide expert advice, and address client needs.

Review and understand design documents and project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates and ensure feasibility.

Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reporting, and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.

Issue and manage tenders, contracts, and procurement processes.

Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.

Monitor project costs and identify any potential risks or opportunities for cost savings.

Support the Managing Quantity Surveyor and the wider QS team with any additional duties required.

Attend project meetings and site visits to ensure that the project is progressing according to schedule, resolving any issues that arise.

Collaborate closely with other departments, ensuring efficient communication between design, estimating, and client-facing teams.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a focus on office fit-out projects (CAT A + B).

Strong understanding of the fit-out sector, with experience managing high-spec office projects.

Ability to consult with clients, interpret designs, and liaise with design and estimating teams effectively.

Solid understanding of project costs, contract management, and procurement processes.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.

Strong knowledge of relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, cost management software, or similar tools).

Ability to work autonomously and within a team, managing multiple projects and tasks.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying (RICS or equivalent desirable but not essential).

Working Environment:

Hybrid working arrangement: 2 days working from home, 3 days in the office or on-site.

Central London office location, easily accessible by public transport.

You will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and work within an established and supportive QS team.

The role will involve occasional site visits to ensure projects are progressing as planned.
