Role

  • Prepare cost models (target costs) for submission to the client for validation.
  • Preparation of enquiry documents supported by the design function and Project Managers.
  • Validating quotations and providing like for like comparison and review with site team to ensure compliance with scope and specification.
  • Preparing sub contract orders including the facilitation of pre start meetings with the site team.
  • Presentation and review with the client PM to ensure compliance and explanation around build up.
  • Prepare 'cost verses value' spreadsheets to present to the head of projects and commercial manager for review.
  • Forecasting costs through 'Cost to Complete' with the site team and head of Projects to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Monthly valuations submitted to the client in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of payment certification and assessment of subcontract valuations.
  • Final accounting with the client providing substantiation and validation.

  1. Lead and prepare target cost submissions with the team.
  2. Communicating and liaising with supply chain.
  3. Communicating with Project Manager & senior leadership team
  4. Ensure that Procurement policies are adhered to.
  5. Holding regular risk and opportunities meetings with the site team.
  6. Preparing commercial learning alerts for the framework as they arise (lessons learnt)
  7. Develop a right 1st time and safe site culture, by contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors, and suppliers through prestart meetings etc.
  8. Negotiation of terms and conditions in line with client policies.
  9. Communicating with the team through reports and attending meetings to discuss commercial issues.
