Key Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects within the Facilities Division. Your duties will include:

  • Managing contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Overseeing the commercial management and administration of the contract.
  • Monitoring and reporting monthly spending against the package budget.
  • Evaluating potential claims from contractors and suppliers.
  • Preparing orders and instructions for contractors or suppliers.
  • Managing additional works processes to identify and capture items exceeding the contract's liability limits.
  • Providing insights and driving profitable growth to support the organisation's long-term goals.
  • Supporting the operations team with contractual requirements and commercial implications of non-performance.
  • Maintaining and enforcing policies, procedures, and governance to mitigate commercial risks.
  • Leading contractual negotiations in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborating with the procurement team to enhance supplier onboarding and performance.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven experience in commercial management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with policies and procedures to manage commercial risks.
