Quantity Surveyor - Facades - East Midlands 

Quantity Surveyor - An exciting opportunity has arisen for an intermediate level quantity surveyor to join a well established contractor, within their facades division based in the Nottingham/Derby area. 

Duties: 

  • Manage the application process to ensure timely receipt of payments from the Main Contractor, contributing to effective value recovery.

  • Schedule and record price work operatives and gangs on a weekly or fortnightly basis on-site, ensuring valuations are both timely and accurate.

  • Prepare project pricing promptly when required, and proactively negotiate agreements with clients.

  • Oversee financial management of allocated sub-contracts, aiming to maximise profitability while maintaining strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.

  • Administer sub-contract clauses effectively to safeguard the business, enhance financial returns, and mitigate exposure to contra-charges.

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly cost value comparisons to support financial reporting.

  • Identify risks within assigned projects and implement measures to mitigate or eliminate them.

  • Collaborate with the wider team and demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

About you: 

  • Previous experience working with facades/cladding/brickwork/stonework is desirable but not essential. 
  • Microsoft Office (Good)
  • Bluebeam Measurement (Basic)
