We are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Estates to work within a large public sector organisation within the East Midlands.

Successful applicants will be required to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operational estates and external clients on behalf of the Heads of Estates

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operational aspects of estates workshop including performance, expenditure, essential training and sickness.
  • Ensuring MICAD and Zetasafe systems are managed effectively
  • Ensure the workshop team hits KPIs for planned and reactive maintenance
  • Identify and deliver cost improvement plans whilst obtaining contracts and source contractors
  • Working with senior estates managers to ensure delivery of the required planned maintenance across the estates to meet statutory requirements
  • Authorised Person for disciplines within the post-holder's skillset, acting as a backup AP if a suitable Senior Estates Officer or Estates Officer is not available

Qualifications and relevant requirments: 

  • Master's Degree in a Building Services or Construction discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • P405 management of asbestos (or willing to complete within 12 months of starting in the role)
  • Significant estates leadership within public sector organisation 
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems (MICAD) and their results
  • Experience working in Estates/Facilities Management (ideally within public sector organisations)
