Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Admin assistant to join a business based in Derby on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced team in a growing business. Reporting into the Finance manager, you will be responsible for a variety of accounts and administrative tasks.
Daily tasks will include:
- Maintaining the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Issuing customer statements.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Credit Control to ensure timely payments.
- Preparing and posting journals.
- Collecting timesheets for payroll.
- Additional ad hoc tasks.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years experience in similar role.
- Knowledge of Sage Accounts 50 and Progress Plus.
- Strong communication skills and good telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise and plan workload.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, established business and will benefit from a competitive salary up to £26,000 - £28,000 per annum DOE, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company pension scheme and free onsite parking.
