Hours: 21 hours per week (Friday preferred, with 1 day working from home)
Location: Derby Central
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing support across all areas of finance, including Sales Ledger (SL), Purchase Ledger (PL), and payroll administration using Sage 50.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Sales and Purchase Ledger
- Assist with payroll administration
- Ensure accurate data entry and financial record-keeping
- Provide general finance support as needed
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Assisting with monthly accruals and prepayments
Working Hours:
- 21 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times
- The current team member works 9:15 am - 2:30 pm, but this can be adjusted to suit the right candidate
- One day of remote work is available
About You:
- Previous experience in a finance role
- Proficient in Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A team player with excellent communication skills
