English Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a Teacher of English to join a vibrant and dynamic secondary school in Derby City Centre. This position is available to start as soon as possible and offers an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in their English education in a supportive and rewarding environment.

Position Details:

• Role: Teacher of English
• Location: Derby City Centre, Secondary School
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary with potential for permanent
• Salary: £162.30 - £223.62 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Help students develop their literacy, critical thinking, and writing skills.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities to foster a positive school culture.

Key Requirements:

• A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, ideally at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• A passion for teaching English and helping students reach their full potential.
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this role (can be obtained through Tradewind Recruitment if necessary).
