This position is available to start as soon as possible and offers an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in their English education in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Position Details:
- Role: Teacher of English
- Location: Derby City Centre, Secondary School
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary with potential for permanent
- Salary: £162.30 - £223.62 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Help students develop their literacy, critical thinking, and writing skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities to foster a positive school culture.
Key Requirements:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, ideally at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- A passion for teaching English and helping students reach their full potential.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this role (can be obtained through Tradewind Recruitment if necessary).
