Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Help students develop their literacy, critical thinking, and writing skills.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities to foster a positive school culture.

Key Requirements:

  • A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, ideally at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A passion for teaching English and helping students reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this role (can be obtained through Tradewind Recruitment if necessary).
