We are seeking a GCSE English Teacher for a temporary position at a college in Derby. This role involves teaching English Language to the 16-18 age group at the Roundhouse Campus from the end of March to the beginning of June. The teaching hours are distributed across 5 days per week.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective English Language lessons to GCSE students aged 16-18.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and teacher training workshops.
- Degree in English or a related subject.
- Level 5/6 Teaching qualification or currently working towards this.
- Proven experience teaching GCSE English Language.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
