PE Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PE Teacher in Derby. This role is perfect for a passionate and energetic individual dedicated to promoting physical fitness and well-being among students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons, encouraging students to participate in sports and physical activities, and fostering a positive attitude towards health and fitness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities and promote physical fitness.
• Encouraging students to participate actively in sports and physical activities.
• Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Organizing and overseeing school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
• Ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel confident to participate.
• Collaborating with colleagues and participating in school-wide activities and events.
• Engaging with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and well-being.

To be considered for the role of a PE Teacher you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in PE.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for PE
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
• A suitable qualification to teach PE i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
