Teacher of Economics
  • Contract: Temporary (6-8 weeks)
  • Salary: £25-£30 per hour including holiday pay
  • Location: Derby

A college in Derby is seeking a temporary Teacher of Economics to join their team towards the end of February. This role involves teaching Economics and Business at A Level, as well as GCSE Business.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Economics and Business to A Level and GCSE students.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to the varying needs of students.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Business/Economics.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Experience teaching GCSE and A Levels in Economics and Business.
  • DBS on the update service.
