Responsibilities

  • Develop independent learning resources and flexible strategies to aid learner progression.
  • Deliver tailored classroom sessions focused on employability and sector-specific skills, ensuring learners remain motivated and engaged.
  • Provide personalised one-to-one support, including CV writing, job search advice, interview techniques, and career planning.
  • Design course materials that respond to the needs of learners and the local job market.
  • Work with the Employer Engagement Team to match learners with suitable job opportunities and work placements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with contractual standards and awarding body requirements.
  • Offer impartial advice and guidance on employment options and further education.
  • Support learners with exam preparation and invigilate assessments when required.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognised teaching qualification such as AET or PTLLS.
  • Experience delivering group training sessions, ideally within the employability sector.
  • A solid understanding of the welfare-to-work sector and local labour market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and work towards targets.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
