Role Overview:As a High Level Teaching Assistant on a supply basis, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of students across various schools. You will be required to respond to day-to-day calls and provide flexible support where needed, ensuring continuity in students' learning experiences. There are also opportunities for long and short-term placements in schools for you to carry out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Support individual students and small groups with their learning activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress.
- Provide support for students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching styles.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting student learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
