Location:         Derbyshire

Our client is seeking a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to support the management of refuge services for women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of housing management and service provision, working closely with the Service Manager to meet funding and contractual obligations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing refuge services for women and children, ensuring high-quality support in line with operational policies.
  • Provide supervision and line management to staff, overseeing complex casework, including child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
  • Work closely with other agencies and represent the service in multi-agency meetings.
  • Ensure services meet quality standards and that case records are maintained professionally and accurately.
  • Assist in managing budgets, rent collections, and ensuring services meet housing law requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing services for vulnerable individuals, particularly women and children.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and case management.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • DBS issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service
  • Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle would be highly desirable.
