Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Derby
£19.62 (3 or 6 month contract)
4 or 5 day working week available.
Orion Electrotech are working with a leading aerospace company dedicated to providing high-quality metal fabrication services, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
They are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
Key Responsibilities as a Sheet Metal Worker:
- Setting up to operate fabricating machines including brake press, guillotine and band saws to cut, bend and straighten metal as required.
- Operate machinery such as shears, brakes, and presses to cut, shape, and form metal pieces.
- Assemble and weld components to construct products.
- Measure, cut, and join metal sheets with precision and accuracy.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and how they affect fabrication processes.
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in sheet metal work.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a metal fabrication environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
