We are looking for an experienced Technical Administrator to join an exciting new project with The Balfour Beatty DBFO projects team, based out of Derby

This key role to support the running of this successful highways project.

Key Accountabilities

  • Road Space Booking: Booking road space for planned routine and major works on the National Highways NOMS database working with the Road Space Coordinator.

  • Depot & Office support: Cover reception duties for visitors and staff. Admin support for the contract director, booking of hotels and travel for the team. Monitor stock levels of equipment and supplies for operations and office team, and order, coordinate annual services, repairs, waste collection, office cleaning and other activities. 

  • Processing of Red and Green claims for DCP (Damage to Crown Properties): Collation of information from the operations and network team for processing of claims for accidents and incidents on the network

  • Document Control & Information Management: Support the project team with filing and storage of information into various electronic and paper systems, as required by the contract & record keeping.

  • Tracking of costs & invoices against budgets and forecasts: Keep a record of the purchases, purchase orders and payments working with the operations, commercial and finance team to inform the project of spend against budgets and forecasts

  • Payroll Processing: Supporting the team by covering as required submission of timesheets entries into Balfour Beatty’s oracle system for the payment of weekly paid staff

  • Administration Duties: Processing of various paper and electronic records for the project(s)

Experience and Skills required

  • Previous experience in an Administrator, preferably in a construction or engineering environment (or similar)

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Honest Reliable and Professional Person

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team

  • Organised with excellent timekeeping skills

  • Computer Literate.
