We're looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated Children's Services team. This role is ideal for a professional with at least three years of post-qualification experience in a Local Authority. You will work in a mixed rural and town setting, conducting Child Protection, Child in Need, and Court Work while playing a key role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage caseloads and implement care plans for children and families.
  • Conduct single assessments and S47 assessments to determine needs and risks.
  • Hold Child in Need and Child Protection cases and manage court cases as required.
  • Act as Duty Officer as part of the duty system.
  • Support children, parents, and carers in developing sustainable support networks.
  • Prepare detailed casework reports and assessments.
  • Ensure that services meet agreed quality standards and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, community groups, and other professionals.

What do you need?

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BA Honours in Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Current HCPC registration
  • 3+ years' post-qualification experience in a Local Authority in a permanent post.
  • Experience in Child Protection, Child in Need, and Court Work
  • Strong case management and assessment skills
  • Ability to effectively engage with children, families, and key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices
