Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate high levels of autonomy and accountability in case management.
  • Complete timely recording of interventions to progress cases.
  • Build positive, professional links with partner agencies such as Health, Police, Housing, and PVI sectors.
  • Identify signposting opportunities to support carers, maximize independence, and promote individual well-being.
  • Ensure person-centred, strength-based outcomes.
  • Provide Duty cover and triage incoming work to support adults and carers requiring urgent responses.
  • Manage a complex caseload while meeting statutory duties and Care Act (2014) eligible needs.
  • Contribute to the safeguarding process, with experience in Section 42 Safeguarding, chairing multi-agency meetings such as MARM, and completing Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments (including Best Interest meetings, COP-DOLs, and court work).
Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with Section 42 Safeguarding and managing safeguarding cases.
  • Knowledge and experience in chairing Multi-Agency Adult Risk Management (MARM) meetings.
  • Understanding of Mental Capacity Act (2005), including assessments, Best Interest meetings, and COP-DOLs.
  • Experience in court work is advantageous.
  • Training and support will be provided for the right candidate who wishes to develop skills in these areas.
Qualifications:
  • Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW as required by Health & Care Professions Council).
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Full driving licence.
