Are you a passionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school setting?

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Derby (DE22/DE23). We are seeking a skilled individual to support students with challenging behaviour, SEN (Special Educational Needs), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions for students displaying challenging behaviour
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, Autism (ASC), or EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
  • Assisting the class teacher with implementing effective behaviour management strategies
  • Building strong, positive relationships to promote emotional regulation and personal development
  • Acting as a role model to encourage positive choices and academic engagement

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Support Worker, Youth Worker, or SEN Teaching Assistant
  • A calm, consistent, and compassionate approach
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Previous work with SEN, SEMH, or within a PRU or alternative provision is desirable
