LTF Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic individual, that would be confident to support secondary school students with their learning and development. This role is at a welcoming secondary school, located in the Derby (DE21) area. The school are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their welcoming school and work collaboratively to support students.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a supportive team, in a friendly and warm secondary school.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provided support to secondary aged pupils, promoting engagement with learning
  • Support students with special educational needs
  • Monitor and track student progress, and report back to relevant members of staff
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers/support staff to ensure that the best possible support is provided

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working with children/young people
  • A qualification/degree is desirable for this role, but not essential
  • A passion for supporting students to reach their full potential
  • An Enhanced DBS and two professional references are a requirement for this role
