Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a Good-rated Ofsted primary school in DE21. This part-time role involves teaching Year 2 for two days per week and providing PPA cover for other classes on the remaining days. This position is well-suited for ECTs and those with HLTA experience looking to develop their teaching career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with the National Curriculum
  • Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents to support student development
  • Prepare students for national assessments
  • Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Uphold school policies and encourage a respectful learning atmosphere
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessments
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
