Job Title: General Cover Teacher (Adhoc Basis)

Location: Secondary Schools across Derbyshire

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking a dedicated General Cover Teacher to work on an adhoc basis in secondary schools across Derbyshire. As a cover teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to step into a variety of classrooms, cover for absent teachers, and make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Support students of all abilities, providing tailored guidance where necessary.
• Ensure work is marked and feedback is given in accordance with school policies.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching styles.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged students is an advantage, but not essential.
