As a Commercial Procurement Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement to meet the company’s operational needs. You will play a key role in ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to identify and plan procurement activities
  • Manage tender processes, including documentation, supplier negotiations, and relationship management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they are accountable for meeting continuous improvement and productivity targets
  • Monitor procurement progress and provide updates on active projects.
  • Provide support to the team in managing processes, cross-functional training and risk management
  • Generate management reports, information, and analytics for decision-making

Experience Required:

  • Strong background in commercial and procurement frameworks, with proven process improvement skills
  • Self-starter with expertise in Procurement and Category Management; knowledge of financial management is a plus
  • Experience in building and managing key supplier relationships
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive category strategies and strategic sourcing opportunities
  • Strong negotiation skills and a history of delivering cost savings
  • Proficient in supplier categorisation, performance management and the sourcing lifecycle
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with bid writing software is desirable
