An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-motivated candidate to join an established business as Purchasing Lead.

The successful candidate will ideally be from a Manufacturing/Engineering background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the purchasing department, ensuring efficient procurement operations and cost management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to meet quality and delivery targets.
  • Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, parts, and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Implement purchasing strategies.

Key Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems, purchasing software, and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary £34- £38k dependent on experience
