We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Specialist to join Toyota Manufacturing in their Parts & Materials Control team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and seamless management of supply chain activities across key areas.

Key Responsibilities for the Parts & Materials Control section are:

  • Supplier Management: Overseeing production communication and addressing supply chain abnormalities for mass production parts.
  • Material Management: Coordinating the supply chain for all materials entering TMUK, including paint, steel, and general stores.
  • Service Parts Coordination: Managing the production and logistics of service parts supplied to Toyota Parts Centre for customer vehicles at dealerships.
  • Export Operations: Supporting the production and logistics of parts exported to other European Toyota manufacturers for their operations.

This position offers a comprehensive understanding of TMUK’s supply chain, from suppliers to lineside operations. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of initiatives and lead projects involving both manufacturing shops and suppliers.

Core Responsibilities

  • Service Parts Lead:
    • Managing service parts supply to Toyota Parts Centre Europe.
    • Ensuring timely supply, profit reporting, and stock management.
    • Handling new/disused parts processes and enhancing visualisation tools.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Acting as the primary contact for assigned suppliers.
    • Resolving supply chain issues, including collection schedules, supply concerns, and part discrepancies.
  • Digitalisation Initiatives:
    • Developing and implementing digital solutions to enhance parts flow management.
    • Supporting both Production Control and Internal Logistics with advanced digital tools.

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge current standards and drive process improvements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Access, with familiarity in Power BI and Power Apps preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a time-sensitive, supply chain-focused role and hold a degree (2:1 minimum).
