The Business is an established leading Meat and Poultry supplier into the Food Service industry across the UK looking for a Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to join their core team in Derby/

The role

To assist with the implementation, monitoring, and reviewing of Health & Safety & well-being strategies, procedures, risk assessments, site safety plan, and safe working practices in line with the Global Safety Framework across all 3 production sites. To action any safety concerns raised by employees, managers, safety representatives, visitors, contractors, or members of the public. To support the carrying out and / or review of risk assessments where required, to carry out workplace inspections in order to proactively identify where Health & Safety may be improved.

About you

  • Working knowledge and understanding of incident investigation (best practice)
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Encourages team working and works proactively with other departments
  • Is innovative in their approach to Health & Safety
  • Is able to travel
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels within the business
  • Some previous experiencing of operating within a large Group business is desired
  • Interaction and liaising with HSE / Authorities, Fire etc.
  • Previous experience / exposure in FMCG within the food industry
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a relevant Health & Safety role
  • Minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety, or working towards
