We are offering a new vehicle technician role, here at Stoney Cross Garage!
You will need to have a good understanding of modern automotive systems. This role requires problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and plenty of hands-on expertise.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Routine Maintenance: Performing oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid level checks to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Diagnostics (not essential): Using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and computer-related issues in a vehicle.
- Repairs: Fixing or replacing malfunctioning parts like brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Inspections: Conducting vehicle safety inspections and emissions testing to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Customer Service: Communicating with customers to explain issues and recommend maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2-3 or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role for at least 2+ years
- Full UK driving license
- Experience working within a modern workshop
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work well within a team
