We are seeking a dedicated Hair and Barbering Teacher for a college in Derby. This role involves teaching Level 2 students for 37 hours a week, 5 days a week. The position is to cover sickness absence and requires an immediate start with no current end date specified.
Day-to-day of the role:- Planning, teaching, and assessing Level 2 Hair and Barbering students.
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
- Delivering engaging and informative lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of the students.
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Relevant Barbering and Hairdressing qualifications.
- Proven barbering experience within the industry.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
