We are seeking a dedicated Hair and Barbering Teacher for a college in Derby. This role involves teaching Level 2 students for 37 hours a week, 5 days a week. The position is to cover sickness absence and requires an immediate start with no current end date specified.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Planning, teaching, and assessing Level 2 Hair and Barbering students.
  • Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
  • Delivering engaging and informative lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles.
  • Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of the students.
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant Barbering and Hairdressing qualifications.
  • Proven barbering experience within the industry.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
