That’s where you come in.The RoleAs a Logistics Operative, you will support the manufacturing process by managing and controlling the flow of raw material into the manufacturing facility and the despatch of finished goods to stock or customer sites as required.Specifically, you will:- Receive goods inwards, book in and store accordingly- Ensure an accurate inventory is always available- Load and unload vehicles using a counterbalance forklift- Pick raw material stock as required by Production Assembly Operatives, ensuring stock levels are replenished on a daily basis- Monitor and control raw materials, recording supplier delays and notifying appropriate parties of concern- Take good care of allocated company equipment- General housekeeping of the Goods In / Despatch functions, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times- Support the preparation of products for despatch, ensuring they are packaged, loaded, and handled correctly to eliminate damage during transit- Ensure all goods in/despatch paperwork is submitted to the relevant internal parties in a timely mannerAbout YouTo join us as a Logistics Operative, you will need:- Full UK driving licence to travel between business sites- A valid forklift licence is preferred, but not essential, as internal training would be given- Previous experience in a busy goods in/despatch environment- Proven ability to adhere to strict production deadlines- An understanding of computerised stock control systems- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail- Good computer skills with the ability to update systems accurately and efficiently- The ability to provide clear and concise communications either verbally or written- A good team player- A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work additional hours if neededWorking hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday working 8am - 4pm, (no weekend work unless absolutely necessary).In addition to the salary and related benefits, you will join a company that has grown extensively within the last five years and, through our unique ownership model, is continuing to grow, whilst offering great career opportunities for those who are keen to progress.Webrecruit and Medstrom are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
