Welder/Fabricator

Orbital Recruitment are looking for highly motivated and skilled Fabricator/Welders to join our clients dynamic team on a permanent basis in Derby.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out refurbishment work on Rolling Stock

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Replacing worn and corroded parts on Rolling Stock
• Must be able to MIG, MAG and TIG welding (Basic) to coded standard
• Carry out work in a professional and safe manner
• Must be to flexible to working both on and offsite
• Must have good fabrication and Basic fitting skills

About you:

• Ideally Apprenticeship trained
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically High level of attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively  in a team environment
• Experience of rolling stock vehicle and component repairs would be advantageous

Salary:

• £17-£22p/h 
• OT premium paid
• £40 overnight expenses
• Lodge paid
• £25 a day offsite allowance

Hours/Contract:

• 7am – 3.30pm Mon – Thursday
• 7am – 12 Fri

Please be aware flexibility is required regarding working hours
