P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking an Accounts Assistantto join their team based in Dereham on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders & partnerships.
- Personal and corporate tax return preparation & completion.
- Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero & QuickBooks.
- VAT return preparation & transmission.
Person Specification:
- Good communication skills, happy to converse with clients and able to work in a team.
- Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Assistant role.
- Must have good experience of Sage, Xero & Quickbooks.
- Ability to work solely with minimum supervision.
- A personable, customer driven, people person.
- Have a positive can-do attitude.
- Have a passion to go the extra mile to support client queries.
- Must be able to work to strict deadlines.
- Practice experience an advantage
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified by experience or have an accountancy qualification.
- Current and relevant experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Prompt client contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile.
- Supporting the Directors with new ideas for best practice and forward-thinking accounting.
- Experience of Accounts & Tax Software.
