Finance Assistant
Dereham

Our client, a reputable and growing company based in Dereham, is looking to expand their team in the new year with the addition of a Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work within a close-knit team and support the smooth operation of the full finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with payroll processing and preparation of VAT returns.
  • Handle queries from suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role is desirable.
  • AAT qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team.
