My client, a successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking a confident and talented Graduate Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Norfolk. My client is a well-established practice known for delivering high-quality design solutions and exceptional customer service. You will have the chance to play a key role in the growth of the business and work towards professional membership with the ICE or IStructE.

Key Responsibilities for this Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer:

  • Assist with structural engineering design and analysis, using both manual calculations and structural engineering software.
  • Gain experience in the design of steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Prepare project design summary drawings and specifications, with experience in AutoCAD software (3D modelling experience is a plus).
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on various civil and structural projects.
  • Support the development of roads and drainage designs (if applicable).

The Requirements for this Graduate Structural Engineer role include:

  • A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (MEng, BEng, BSc, or equivalent).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ideally a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in structural engineering design within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in structural design, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and the ability to produce design drawings (3D modelling is advantageous).
  • Strong desire for career development and progression towards professional membership with the ICE or IStructE.
  • Roads and drainage design experience is a bonus.
  • A full UK driving licence and your own transport are required.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience).
  • Full-time Position:5 hours per week (with flexible working options available), potential for remote working based on experience and trustHolidays: 25 days annually, plus UK bank holidays (additional holiday accrual based on time served, up to a maximum of 30 days per year)Benefits: Pension, annual performance-related bonus, and reimbursement for work-related travel costs
