Teaching Assistant

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 0830 - 1530

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school in Dereham. The successful candidate will collaborate with our teaching staff to provide exceptional support to our students and contribute to the overall success of the school.

Day to day of the role:

  • Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and enhance the learning experience of students.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of classroom materials and resources.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups as needed.
  • Help foster a safe, inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and mutual respect.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as recording attendance and maintaining student records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Level 2 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Youth Work).
  • Experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
