Position: Network Engineering Apprentice
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our network engineering department as an apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both network engineering and desktop support, assisting our help desk when required. You will work alongside a skilled team to ensure our clients' networks and systems operate smoothly while developing your technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VoIP telephony systems (on-premises and cloud-based).
- Provide desktop support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Assist with onsite installation of cables and accessories as part of network deployment.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on network design and implementation projects.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Assist the help desk with resolving IT support tickets when necessary.
- Stay updated with advancements in networking and support technologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a professional setting.
