Are you a plant enthusiast with a knack for customer service? I'm working with a family-run garden centre in North Norfolk, looking to welcome a motivated Garden Centre Supervisor to support their dedicated team and enhance the customer experience.

About the Role

As the Garden Centre Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in daily operations, from maintaining stock and creating visually appealing displays to fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Reporting to the Garden Centre Manager, you'll take charge of ordering, stock control, and team support to help ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Plant Area team by assigning tasks, guiding plant care activities like watering and pruning, and providing training as needed to support strong team performance.
  • Deliver knowledgeable, friendly assistance to customers, helping them choose the best plants for their needs, promoting current offers and accessories, and ensuring every visitor enjoys a positive experience.
  • Contribute to the creation of attractive, well-organised displays that highlight seasonal items and promotions. Keep the Plant Area clean, tidy, and welcoming, with all items priced.
  • Work closely with the Manager to plan seasonal stock, place weekly orders, inspect deliveries, restock displays, and perform regular stock counts to maintain accuracy.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong knowledge of plants and plant care.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role within horticulture (essential but not required).
  • A passion for customer service in a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Retail experience.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
  • Basic computer skills and good communication abilities.
