Cooper Lomaz is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in bespoke electrical heating solutions for an experienced Proposals Engineer to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative and innovative environment, contributing to technical sales and engineering projects.

Role Overview:As a Proposals Engineer, you will review customer enquiries, prepare technical and commercial quotations, and deliver the best technical solutions. You will be responsible for initial designs, cost estimates, and managing client communications to ensure project requirements are met. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to support successful sales outcomes.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review customer enquiries and provide technical and commercial quotations
  • Prepare initial designs and detailed cost estimates for electric heaters and control systems
  • Liaise with clients to clarify technical and commercial details, ensuring speed and accuracy of response
  • Attend bid clarification meetings in the UK and overseas as necessary
  • Prepare detailed handover documentation and design datasheets
  • Work with third-party manufacturers and internal teams to obtain competitive and technically compliant quotations
  • Update the company's CRM database regularly

Required Skills:

  • Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or degree in an engineering discipline)
  • Minimum of one year of industry experience

  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence to engage at senior management level
  • Ability to work within client-imposed deadlines and across time zones

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in technical sales or proposals engineering
  • Willingness to travel overseas occasionally

Experience:

  • Proven experience in technical roles involving client interaction and project management
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and technical specifications

Salary & Benefits:

Shift Pattern:
