A newly created Procurement Management opportunity working for this well-established and profitable commercial business. With robust company turnover growth and future acquisitions in mind, this role will report into the CEO with high levels of autonomy and profile. The role is available on a hybrid working basis with a need to be based from any of their offices across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk for 2 days per week - exact location to suit candidate preference.The company has an established network of site buyers in place who have responsibility for tactical, local spend - whereas this role will operate strategically across all sites and have full autonomy with no direct reports. Key areas of focus will include: develop and embed procurement processes; drive cost efficiencies across areas of spend with engineering a particular focus; deliver joined-up supply chain management across all sites; build and drive strong supplier relationships, and work closely with site stakeholders to build consensus and collaboration with shared goals.To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable procurement experience with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles. With experience of building collaborative, long-term supplier partnerships, you will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of procurement processes and best practice. As the spend is predominantly focused on engineering-related categories, previous experience of adding value in this area aligned with a robust understanding of engineering spares and engineering principles is a pre-requisite.
